纽约大学（New York University）简称“NYU”，是一所位于纽约的世界著名私立综合性研究型大学，成立于1831年。纽约大学由18个学院和研究所组成，已经成为全美国境内规模最大的私立非营利高等教育机构之一，同时也是美国位于纽约心脏地带的私立名校。

纽约大学经济学硕士是美国最严谨的经济学硕士项目之一。该项目为学生提供高级经济学的坚实的知识基础，并提高学生在应用经济分析和公共政策方面的技能。同时也可以帮助希望继续攻读博士学位的学生做好充分的前期准备。


课程设置
经济学硕士学位要求至少三个学期的全日制学习，并且完成至少32分的研究生课程以及撰写一份项目报告。 五门核心课程分别是：

Mathematics for Economists
Microeconomic Theory
Macroeconomic Theory I
Applied Statistics and Econometrics I
Applied Statistics and Econometrics II
Special Project in Economic Research


The aim of the course is to integrate material and tools that have been taught throughout the M.A. program in addressing applied economic and policy problems. Students are encouraged to approach research questions from outside a narrow specialization and to consider linkages between different fields. 


Elective courses are selected from the department’s regular course offerings. Students may also select relevant courses at the NYU Leonard N. Stern School of Business. In addition to regular courses in economics, students take courses in finance, accounting, international business, and operations research at Stern. Highly qualified M.A. students preparing for a Ph.D. program may also take courses in the graduate division of the Department of Mathematics at the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences, which offers balanced training in mathematics and its applications in the broadest sense.
